Jonathan "JP" McDaniel is a graduate of Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor's in Biomedical Science. He is currently working with a faith-based nonprofit organization in Grand Rapids, MI that focuses on enhancing and supporting the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. In addition, JP has returned to GVSU to obtain his Bachelor's in Nursing with both local, national, and global goals in mind.
JP comes to mjohnson2.com following the tradition of writers such as Hunter S. Thompson and Chuck Klosterman, seeking to analyze and comment on the society and culture in which we live and offer fair praise and criticism were it is needed. With other influences such as the great American writer Kurt Vonnegut and the influential writer/philosopher Ayn Rand, theologian Rob Bell, and even sports columnist Bill Simmons, JP desires to offer a new perspective on everything from politics to religion to sports to even the mundane. With these writers and thinkers, JP credits individuals such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Mahatma Ghandi, and Mother Teresa as heroes and standards by which his thinking and life is based.
With great hope and anticipation, JP comes to mjohnson2.com in order to offer the highest standard of insight, discussion, and entertainment, while at the same time bettering and developing his style and skills in both writing and commentary. His goals here include the development of a community of real conversation on all topics and issues, find and develop a voice outside norm or mainstream, and connect and journey with people in the hopes of bettering our communities, nations, and world.
